Transportation
Savannah's Historic District is a small area. Downtown hotels are within easy walking distance of the Birthplace, First Headquarters, and most of the museums. You need transportation if you go to Fort Jackson, Seabrook, or Tybee Island.
Out of town activities include a visit to Tybee Lighthouse, the best dolphin cruise, an ecology saltmarsh cruise, a marsh walk, or a beach walk. If you come by air or Amtrak, we can provide transportation in Savannah for a day or two for these activities.
"Our trip to Savannah was just fabulous! It is true that the people of Savannah 'roll out the red carpet' for Girl Scouts. What really made the trip was all the planning you did ahead of time. We just showed up and enjoyed the trip with our girls and parents. I can't say enough about Janis. She was super with the girls and made everything so interesting and fun. I have already told several friends/leaders that if they want a super trip to Savannah, they MUST call Tootsy! I saw other leaders in Savannah who obviously came without the benefit of your expert planning--you could tell who they were by the exasperated faces and constant running around!"

"As the person who did most of the planning, I really appreciated the fact that if I had a problem, you could solve it. I am going to recommend to our Council that you be given free rein next time there is a trip to Savannah."
